Primary Investigator

Prof. Taejoon Kouhkouh

Professor Kouh does research in experimental condensed matter physics including superconductivity, 2-D electron systems, nanostructures, and nanoelectromechanical systems. Professor Kouh joined the faculty at Kookmin University in 2005. Prior to this he was a postdoctoral researcher at Dept. of aerospace and mechanical engineering at Boston University from 2002 to 2005. He received his Ph.D. from Brown University in 2002 and his Bachelor of Arts from Boston Univesity.

Mi Ryeong Park(Masters student)Mi Ryeong

Mi Ryeong joined the Applied NanoPhysics Lab in 2016. She is working on the dynamics of a microcantilever under magnetic fluid. She has received her bachelors degree on Feburary, 2016.

Yun Hee Park(Masters student)Yun Hee

Yun Hee joined the Applied NanoPhysics Lab in 2016. She is working on the dynamics of a microcantilever coupled with magnetic system. She has received her bachelors degree on Feburary, 2016.

Eun Joong Lee(former Ph.D. student)eun

Eun Joong joined the Applied NanoPhysics Lab in 2008 and his research focused on the experimental study of the micro-/nanomechanical resonators based on the optical motion detection. He has received his Ph.D. degree on August, 2016 and was awarded the best graduate student award. Currently, he is at Department of Nature-Inspired Nano-convergence Systems, Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM).

Seunghwan Kim(former Masters student)Seunghwan

Seunghwan joined the Applied NanoPhysics Lab in 2014 and worked on the finite element analysis of dynamics of nano/micro mechanical systems as well as porous thin film nanostrucutres. He has received his masters degree on Feburary, 2016. Now, he works at Hermes Microvision.

Suhwan Lim(former Masters student)Suhwan

Suhwan joined the Applied NanoPhysics Lab in 2012 and worked on the fabrication and measurement of magnetic nanostructures based on nanotemplate. He has received his masters degree on Feburary, 2014. Currently, he is a R&D researcher at CNI technology.

Dae Hwan Kim(former Masters student)Dae Hwan

Dae Hwan joined the Applied NanoPhysics Lab in 2011. He is working on the optical characterization of nano/micro mechanical systems as well as porous thin film nanostrucutres. He has received his masters degree on Feburary, 2013. Currently, he is working at K-MAC.

Aree Song(former Masters student)Aree

Aree joined the Applied NanoPhysics Lab in 2010. She worked on the experimental study of thin film growth on the porous AAO substrate. She has received her maters degree on Feburary, 2012. Currently, she is working at Samsung in Korea.

Youngok Park(former Masters student)youngok

Young Ok worked on the fabrication of magnetic nanostructures with AAO in the Applied NanoPhysics Lab since 2007. She has received her masters degree on August, 2009 from Kookmin University and received her Ph.D. from University of Tokyo, Japan in 2014. Now, she works at Samsung.

Yumi Lee(former UROP student)Yumi

Yumi was 2008-2009 UROP student at Kouh group. She worked on AAO fabrication. She has received her bachelors degree on Feburary, 2011.

Hyo Jin Lee(former UROP student)hyojin

Hyo Jin was 2009-2010 UROP student at the Applied NanoPhysics Lab, working on AAO fabrication. He has received his bachelors degree on Feburary, 2011.
